    Motherhood

    You become a Mother
With the help of your lover
The first time you hold your bundle of joy
You realize this is no longer a toy
    No book of guidance
    Mother instinct is your reliance.

    The years fly by
Some days are low some days are high
    Teenage years come so fast
How quick the time has passed
When they start to go out, you pray to God to keep them safe
Please let them return to this place
When they knock on the door, you give a sigh of relief
So glad it's not the police.

You start to look old and grey
Is this the price you pay
They grow into a woman or a man
And you'v done the best you can.

Time comes for them to fly the nest
It's up to them now to do the rest
You wish them joy and good lives
Find good husands or good wives

Do you think this is the end?

    No, my friend.

    Motherhood never ends.

Wow...Hello Bevauc, I Don't Have Children, But, I Have Cared For Children ,That I Feel As Being My Own... I Really Enjoyed This Poem. I Could Feel Your Heart Going Out As A Mother..To Your Children. Of Course, It's Never Easy To Let Go Of Anyone That We Love, In Life...Probably One Of The Hardest Of Many Things.....But, If It Is Of Any Consolation...To Ease Any Burdens, That You May Have.... You Know, In Your Heart..That You Have Been The Best Mother You Can Be...Giving And Teaching Them Love...So Important.. In Ones Life..We Need Love To Survive.......To Help Us Grow Positively.....You..Taught Them Of God..And What That Means..And how They May Utilize Him Into The Structuring Of Their Lives...You've Shown Them The Meaning Of Humanity...One To Another...Along With Understanding...And Much More......I'm Sure...All Very Important Key Elements In Raising Children Up To Being Honorable Men And Woman.. All Of That Came From GOD'S GUIDANCE, AND A MOTHER'S LOVE FOR HER CHILDREN...(You Can Give Yourself An Award For That Accomplishment....Smile....If You Want To Give Them Something More.......May I Humbly Suggest..That You Continue To Pray For Them As You Are...And Show Them, That You Believe In Them, By What You Have Instilled In Them , That, They Will Make Good Choices...As They Go Out To Seek Life. They Will Notice That...They Will Feel Independent..And Respect You Even More For Letting Them See That. With Your Unconditional Love, kindly Let Them Know, Your Always Here, If They Ever Should Need You.. Yes, .Mother Hood Never Ends....And, Yet, Always Begins.......May You Always Be Blessed And Encouraged To Be Inspired....I.Enjoyed This Write...Thank You For Sharing.... FlowerGirl..
