Moving On

Moving On

I’ve missed the sunset

That’s not all I’ve missed

Sometimes letting go

Is the only way

To move forward

In life

I don’t need reminders of my loss

I’ll always carry the scar

In my Heart

That’s enough of what’s left

And all that I need

Of what use to be

Trying to be the bigger person

Feels more like I’m carrying

The entire weight of the world on my shoulders

A man of Honor I only want to do what’s right

I’m faithful to Love

Haven’t met her yet

Just getting over

That fresh scar in my Heart

I’ll find better

And share the next sunset with her

Till then…

In science one tries to tell people, in such a way as to be understood by everyone, something that no one ever knew before. But in poetry, it's the exact opposite.
