MY AMERICAN HERO
Coxswain Russell Wilber Francis
U.S. NAVY 1946-1952
MY AMERICAN HERO
My daddy served till I was six.
A Navy man, He loved his ship.
Rejecting" Hero" he would proclaim.
"Those who died should have that name."
Sailed many times across the waves.
Rescuing prisoners, from cells as graves.
A Coxswain warning of things to come.
That sound still echo's to setting sun.
Blow the whistle, as bugles blare!
Freedom secured for all to share.
World War ll Veteran~Received the European,
Pacific & American Ribbons and Victory Medal
VETERIANS DAY TRIBUTE
NOV. 11 th.
This world will never be the same without him
Or because of him.......
