Poem Commentary

The only way to let out my feelings about my friend who was found dead a couple of months ago. I love and miss her so much.

My Amy ( she left us too early)

Why did you leave us at such a young age? I had just moved home and we could have stated a new page.
Damn, you were so young, beautiful and kind.
The hearts are broken of the ones you left behind.
To look into your eyes was to see innocence but pain.
To look into your soul was to see sadness but still a flame.
I wish we could have talked, like we did back in the day, but I left you for a new life...ran off, moved away.
It's too late to talk now though..You've grown your wings and flown away.
You're in a place with no pain and worries. None of lifes dramas and hurries.
I know it's selfish of me to want you back here. I'd love to hear your laugh again, to have my girl near
I hope one day, but not too soon, to have you back with me.
The only thing left to say is that we all love and miss you Amy Marie....

There are few pains that cut so deep as losing a real friend... Missing them and thinking of them often is the best way to carry on the legacy of how much their friendship meant to us... A good write...

I am sorry for your loss. I know the feeling of losing someone so very close to you very suddenly and instantly. It's hard to not blame yourself sometimes, to not wonder if there was more you could have done, if there was anything you could have done to save that one precious life. The only consolation I can offer is that she is home now and loving it. You express yourself very well!

Thank you! I know she is happier now and not going through the mental anguish she dealt with for so long. I will miss her but as you said..."She is home now and loving it."
