    MY CITY

I'm in the city of angels,
where I've left all my treasures
that have always brought me pleasures.

    I hear the city's song,
I hear it all day long'.
    the cars honking by ,
    the sounds that never die.

I've turn my back on this city's light,
Force to leave it all behind.
    But I've never forgot,
what this city, to me, has brought.

Thats was an awesome poem. I've had to do the same thing in the past year. I think you should revisit the citys lights some day, but thats just one poets opinion

this is a really powerful poem it has so much imagery in such a few words

Poetry is not a turning loose of emotion, but an escape from emotion.
