My Cry
I need support--I need my group--
But I can't get back in the loop--
My cry so futilely entreats!
I have more compassion than this, for anyone--for everyone--even for strangers in the streets.

Oh well. Oh well.
How some hearts can sometimes be so hard, is hard for me to tell.
It's the end of the world for me--to die alone, and suffer lonely--right or wrong, ill or well.

I had been living in a fantasy.
I thought that I would always be.
But now I hear a ringing bell.
I've got more inside my mind and heart, my spirit and soul, than I have time to tell! Or words to spell.

Oh well. Oh well.
My living ears can hear death's knell.
It's the end of the world for me--to die alone, and suffer lonely--right or wrong, ill or well.

I hope there is a heaven; or, at least, that there will be a there.
I hope there isn't any hell.
What I hope most is Paradise--
Where I can still look in your eyes!
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Oh well. Oh well.
I am falling, as all must eventually fall--as so many before me fell.
It's the end of the world for me--to die alone, and suffer lonely--right or wrong, ill or well.
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
I need support--I need my group--
But I can't get back in the loop--
My cry so futilely entreats!
I have more compassion than this, for anyone--for everyone--even for strangers in the streets.
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Oh well. Oh well.
I needed help and understanding: instead, I found a high hard wall--with no compassion to give or sell.
It's the end of the world for me--to die alone, and suffer lonely--right or wrong, ill or well.
