    My Dragon

What I would not give,to walk in your shoes
then.... as I listen and observe
    You walking.... uncomfortable.... feet dragging
Shoe's too heavy.... too tight....too constricting
    Choking off the life force
    Within you
    Surrounding yourself with possibilities
    of no opportunities

    And I wonder..... at times
    Who are you?
My love ...... my friend ..... my nemises?

    Such an enigma
So wrapped up in your preconceptions
    You cannot see this vision
    in front of you
Full of light ,love and laughter

    Stumbled forward .....You
    Then .....ten steps backward
Yes.... wrap yourself in your own cocoon

    Can't slay your own Dragons
    So give them .....the Power
    Do you know
    Who is the Real Dragon?

I love how this poem is about empowerment, but sometimes the strong power within us can be misdirected and distract us from the truth--and that in itself can be what holds us down. It is a deep message that many of us have to remind ourselves of so that we continually re-assess ourselves to ensure a healthy internal growth and enrichment of our lives. At the same time the poem points out that everyone has their own unique issues in their life. No one has a "perfect" life. But the poem also goes on to show that in order to improve one's life, sometimes one has to take a step back and re-assess, and figure out where the problem actually is, instead of attacking windmills like Don Quiote. Is what is holding you down someone in your life or is it you? Just love it!!

Sometimes I can be my own dragon, and sometimes it can be someone else. My world only gets better when my dragon becomes my muse. If you get the chance read the new one My son.blessings to you.

Le' dragone is none other than that presumed, Ah! he iz a very precocious one and yet a devourer of liberty and love. Good Poeme.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
