    My eyes to the Sky

My eyes lift from the page,
Heat flowing from them right into your soul,
    Hatred makes me shiver,
for what you've done is unspeakable.

    I don't understand,
    and I probably never will,
how you could pull me up to the clouds,
and drop me down to nothing.

    I'm decaying in the snow,
    My body and my soul,
Then you take me once again,
but this time it's my turn.

I push out of your embrace,
    tears spilling down my cheeks,
and drive the dagger into my own icy heart,
taking the satisfaction from your cold, bitter hands.
