    My Failure

    “You couldn’t help,”
As she walked out my door.
“That’s the reason why, I walked out of your life.”

    “You couldn’t help,”
    As knife crosses wrist,
“You could never help, so pain holds my cure.”

A helpless man, my love leaves me here
    A bullet through my heart
    To make my sorrows disappear.

    Without the power to help,
What am I but pain incarnate?

    Your sorrows, your pain,
    Lodges deep within my soul,
    My helplessness twists the blade,
    With ignorance spawned fear.
    Fear, my greatest fear;
    That conjures the image,
    Of your retreating back.

Wow. Who was this person who had so much power over this man? Is he going to cut himself to shreds just because of her inability to help.He should have presented her with a silver necklace. As the myth goes that gives power over the one gifted and he wouldn't be turning into a mincemeat pie. loved every line you have a lot of talent.

This poem is great; It feels like it has words unspoken, sentances unfinished. AS if subconsciously you are trying not to admit how you feel or there is more to how you feel. I love this

My favorite line is "Fear is my greatest fear." Thats very deep to me for some reason. This poem is short and simple, but it fefinately makes a reader think. i'm sure many can relate to this, especially those of depression. Good one. Much love -Lady P.

Thanks=) yeah, I tried to convey the emotions and make it very easy to understand and relate too. I'm glad i succeeded

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
