my fault

my fault

hot day

sweat pours rapidly

movement  to a minimum

mind racing

thoughts uncontrolled

loves  arms closed

doors are closing

doors are'nt opening

the key is lost

by his choice

his mistake

his own words have broken him

his words have returned to bite

bite they have done
scars they are leaving

sun is beaming
sorrow inside has turned him dark

unable , unwilling
unseen is the sunlight

to broken, to far gone are his thoughts
he is  becomming more alone each day

the sun has lost its shine today
its only memory is the heat it leaves behind

the scorching heat upon his face      burns
burns liek the hole in his stomach
the hole within his chest

today  the heat
tomorrow the burn
the price of freedom has left him alone

handed gifts , hnaded love
handed opportunities
handed friendship

turned away ,the man he did
chosen a path less traveled
a walk alone  chosen by him
chosen by you

loves message is unclear
loves face is never what you expect
loves hold is only  a thought
love knows no pain like itself

a woman gives
a girl in love
a spring kiss
leads to  summers good bye
lessons learned  but not applied
man repeats
woman moves on
summer ends

fall begins
 the walk again is alone
the footsteps move slowly
the pace has slowed
the desire has left
the want is gone
the need is gone
she is gone

he knows her love
still  breathes free like the fall winds
her smile  bright
her eyes like the  blue sky above watching
among the dark days comming
a light
perhaps
a glimmer
at the end of a bleak and cold,  lonley tunnel
his mistakes
his worries
his doubts
his weakness
has brought him here
not her
not her
not her

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.

Aristotle (384 BC-322 BC) Greek philosopher.
