    Poem Commentary

    A very special friend, a good man, a great detective, and humanitarian.  He is and will always be my friend.  I miss him so, and wanted him to know.  He is so very special to me, not my rock, my old oak tree.  I sing Danny Boy and think of thee.

    My flirting friend..

     You make me smile,
    just for a while.
    It is a gift you will give
    as long as i live.

    A friend forever you are to me
    i am beautiful, is what you want me to see.
    Always in your eyes so far away
    Maybe, one day...

    Your compliments I hunger for,
    when my heart is broken and body sore.
    Compassion, understanding, and dreams
    so long ago since i saw you it seems.

    A tittie man, you say
    send me a picture I'm so far away!
    My eyes need candy to make them shine
    and there's no candy there like mine?

    Memories of fun,
    a special someone.
    Long ago a young girl alone,
    I didn't need a telephone.

    You were right there,
    just for me, no matter where.
    20 years and a thousand miles later,
    solace for the victims of the women haters.

    You will always hold a special place in my heart
    Your kinky, freaky, and still pretty smart.
    I just wanted you to know,
    when i hear your voice, there is still a glow.
    of a young girl, you knew so long ago.

    I relate to this in a very special way. I, too, have a friend that I practically grew up with, we were teenagers when we met. He lives a few states away now, and we miss each other exactly as this poem describes (and there is no candy there like mine?). Flirty, but solely friends nonetheless. Excellent work.

    My favorite stanza- "Your compliments I hunger for, when my heart is broken and body sore. Compassion, understanding, and dreams so long ago since i saw you it seems." I can not imaging hungering for compliments, My heart is broken, but,my body is strong. Very hard to be fundamentally sound under those circumstances. But, I truly enjoy reading you and that is why I do what I do show the few me. even if it is a tad bit cryptic my words. You keep up the great work
