    My Forbidden Fruit

To want and have you is in my thoughts,
I want you to be mine, but at what cost?
Wanting yur lips to feel the softness of mine,
Maybe they could, another place, another time.
Your nector so sweet as I taste you in my mind,
I can't help what I feel, but I know what I'll never find.
What could it be about the forbidden fruit i desire?
Could it be you set my heart on fire?
But we both belong to another,
We'll always wonder how we could be with each other.
The exhilorating, intoxicating sound of your voice,
Leaves me with no other choice.
We say it's forbidden, but how much?
Can we at least feel the slightest touch?
My fruits are forbidden, but not as much as you say,
You, me our wants and needs will come another day.

Well it is tantalizing and slightly provocative, but that is what it was intended to be, very well thought out.

Tasting nectar in the mind; a very evocative image. Here's my problem with temptation... even when you win, you lose. Well done, Nikki.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
