  • BACK IN MOTION. I TOOK A YEAR OFF WRITING POETRY BUT RANDOM FEELINGS ARE BACK SO STAY TUNED. I JUST POSTED A NEW POEM 3 DAYS AGO CALLED WIFE. I HOPE YOU ENJOY

My Life

Dad left at six, i remember,
Mom is a hustler, haven't seen her since November,
Grandma raised me from a boy to a man,
God is the one who got me out the jams.

Wasted moments in life got me behind,
Now I'm playing catch up in the grind,
I didn't have to get a degree from college,
Self education is my road to knowledge.

Homeless, no house is a home,
Unless it is the house that I own,
I own nothing, not even my own soul,
Heaven as to be warm, cause down here is cold.

Thank God that I made it to twenty five,
Society said that I wouldn't make it alive,
They say stay out of the streets,
I can't because there is so many people to reach.

So if this moment should turn into my last,
Then this moment should turn into my past,
We all got to leave someday,
But my life is a reflection of today.

Don't know why it was rated so low. That was on point. 9, 10 material to me. You bared your soul on this one. Keep on writing.

very heartfelt nice job

If I feel physically as if the top of my head were taken off, I know that is poetry.
