My lifeline to you
My lifeline to you
a rectangle six by four
smooth blue and glass
I keep it close to me
ready to feel its life
Gentle sound
soothing reminder
you are close by
A few buttons keep me connected
to you
and your voice
resounds deep and reassuring
presage of joy
A smile stretches from my lips
all the way to my heart
and a peaceful feeling overcomes me
My phone rings....
...and it's you.
