My Loss

My Loss

You thought it would help but it only hurt me more,
you said it was over and it made my heart sore,
you basically ripped it right from my chest,
i guess it was just one big test,
if it was then you passed it,
you made every song i hear feel like my heart was bit,
it feels like a huge black hole,
i feel like i don't even have a soul,
i still think about you every chance i get,
but yet every thought gets caught in a net,
in the net they stop and disapeer,
then the only thing i feel is fear,
fear for my life and for my ability to love,
i feel like you took both and sent them far above,
so far that i can't ever get them back,
i guess they are the things in life that i'll have to lack,
if i had one last thought i would want it to be,
do you have any bit of guilt for what you did to me?

Poetry is not a turning loose of emotion, but an escape from emotion.
