My Love Seen
I often see love through the haze of hate
And, there are some who drown me in my own love.
There are those who gamble for a cosmetic reason
And others choose to use guilt to love them.
Elmer might refer to my friends are living in all white
There are some who live in an eggshell house.
The pious ones live within an ivory tower
And, my fear is to call them Rapunzle
The desire one would paint their house in beige.
I would be allowed to groom their lawn.
My job will keep their Thoreau plants from becoming weeds
But, I might appear to overlook what are already weeds.
