    My Love

Our eyes met and locked together like two people with fine wine.
Sharp you where, just sitting there looking at me with a lovely smile.
Dare to speak with a blushing red face.
We worked in the same place, that we couldn't escape.
Attraction filled up most high, like two waves in the sand.
Talked about things we dared to see and do.

We entwined, like two doves in the sky.
Friends at first and all together oh so much.
Attraction still fled and filled with mystery.
Oh, could this be something more we thought and said?
Helped each other out when most in need.
Played rock music like no other.
In com-in we are and combind, like ice cream and strawberries.

Day by day it passed and still together in mystery.
Until a fate encounter in the car we where.
Married, we where to others that we didn't care.
In the car that we bared.
Made love and said, "I love you" for the first time and cried.
Fell in love we did, that's so high.

Dark we are on the outside but light in the inside.
The love that we shared everyday from that time on.
    So great that cannot implate.
The times we shared still rendered and missed the tide.
Apart we are now, in the love that never died.

Talked and taunt, still bundling up inside.
"Until we meet again my dear" and that we cried.
Waiting for the days to see you again.
And, it's something that I cannot hide.
I love you for all the reasons why.
Until we meet again my dear, just sit and wait.
For the love that did not die.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
