MYSTIC DREAM

MYSTIC DREAM

MYSTIC DREAM

 Shifting hues descend
as the night
consumes
the red day star.

Shadows idle no longer
grow in the
sinking sun,
only to
evaporate as quickly
as they begun.

The desert floor still
in the raining
white heat of day,
will soon come to
life, as the
light fades away.

The
hunters and the hunted
vie for another
day,
creatures of the night
helpless Prey.

Shifting dunes
of blowing sand
that reshape
the land.

Soon a silver dollar
moon will
ascend to the throne
and
rule over the dead of night,
Only to be
vanquished at first light.
.
Shadows
hiding from their
foe
will boldly began
too grow
and
reclaim their birth right.
