     naked water


    sun and breeze
    fans through
    overlapping cedar

    hot water
    cascades
    over my
    bronzed skin
    bathing away
    salt
    lotion
    smells
    from
    my
    small
    motor
    boat

    replaced
    by

    soap
    shampoo
    shaving cream

    and to
    be naked
    out there
    behind
    the boards
    is like
    take
    one
    step closer
    to
    the
    beginning
    of humanity

    I guess you could call this short work a straight line poem. As is the case with an arrow it hits its target dead center.

    Nice... And, I know that smell and how it sticks to you after a trip out on the water... I love the way you let the solitude of the rustic shower share a bit of civilization in this one... Great short write Poe...
