    Narcisitic Blow Revisited

I feel guilty; my life now revolves around me
I've never been anyone's top priority
It feels selfish, self-serving and completely not me
but at the same time it is setting me free

I am the one to account for all I do
to live my life's calling and
"to thine own self be true"
My own self respect and personal rights
should be the goals on which I set my sight

I'm listening now to my inner voice
the way I live my life
    should be my own choice
    my mothers passed on wisdom
    and thoughtful insight
but no one else can tell me
    what's wrong or what's right
