    Poem Commentary

One of my few flirtations with poetry that actually rhymes!

    Never Again

Never again will I experience the heady rush of being pursued,

Never again the unparalleled joy of being worthy enough to be wooed.

Never again will I have the rush and romance of a First Kiss,

Never again will I enjoy that special kind of awkward bliss.

Never again will I be left to wonder if he will really call,

Never again shall I be left to wonder ‘Is this all?’

Never again will I be stood up on a date,

Wondering if he will show or is he just late.

Never again will I have to suffer, doubt, or fear.

Never again will I waste any of my tears,

For I have found the one to whom I belong,

In sickness and health, rich or poor, right or wrong.

Never again will I be left to struggle all alone,

There is a special comfort here that I have never known.

Never again will I wonder if I am worthy of his heart.

Never again will I have to simply play a part.

    Never again will I be half, but a Whole;

I found the one who touches both my heart and soul.

The pot of gold at then end of a rainbow. I'm glad you found it. Thanks for letting us know that it is still there.

I was starting to wonder, myself! But yes, it still exists. :)

The surety of having that one who will never again get in your way of worry or angst is a wondrous occasion. As the tension builds the reader can hardly wait to know how this ends. ginga

That I do! Thank you for the read and for your words of encouragement!
