    Poem Commentary

    I guess I am cheating a little bit here. I couldn't resist posting this journal entry from my daughter when she was four. She was convinced that she must write before she could spell, and write she did! I wrote her words and then my interpretation of what those words may have been. If anyone thinks I goofed on a word, please let me know. All interpretations are welcome.

    New Shoes

     Today is fun
    and I got a new bere bing bike
    (and I got a new very big bike)
    I was so happy
    I allway's wanet to have
    ( I always wanted to have) 
    a birebike
    (a very bike?)
    and me and jacob got new sohse (shoes)
    Bots we just love tham a lot
    (But we just love them)
    I wire then a lots
    ( I wear them a lot)
    And i hope for crismis(Christmas)
    i get more soshe (shoes)
    I lec (I like)
    nivre hafe to buy ining more agin
    (never have to buy any more again) 
    that wode be fun
     (that would be fun)
    but I do not tikece It will hapine
    (but I do not think it will happen)
    But i no I will gat sume stuff
    (But I know I will get some stuff)
    like my ken's
    and my crvite too

    Now i think i understand why you typed (the last one i red) the way that u did,,,, this is great stuff, these r dynamics in writing that i can really appreciate.
