    • Been on a hiatus for awhile, but I'm back and have the itch to write some poetry.

    Nice Guys Finish Last

    what a woman wants
    isn't always what she claims
    she says she wants a nice guy
    for whom she'll take his name
    but often that nice guy
    just ends up as her friend
    and its the bad boy
    with whom she usually ends
    i don't know what it is
    maybe its the chase
    maybe its his confidence
    or just his pretty face
    they say it isn't true
    I'm really not quite sure
    but my experience tells me
    its the bad boys they prefer
    then I start thinking
    I'm just not good enough
    no one will ever want me
    and my exterior gets too tough
    I lose my confidence
    I want to run and hide
    and all of my emotions
    get bottled up inside
    like the Phantom of the Opera
    I have to wear a mask
    cause as the adage goes
    nice guys finish last

    if that's true then what happens to all the nice girls? and why does it sometimes seem that nice guys end up with bitches and nice girls end up with "bad boys"? hmmm, I'm afraid I've expended my store of homogeneous wisdom for the day...any thoughts?

    That's true; you have a point. Maybe it's that opposites attract. I know I always seemed to attract chaos. Maybe we just settle for what is there. I don't know. Love is a very mysterious thing.
