NIGHT COURT

NIGHT COURT

It comes now

with its chill

and a stirring breeze

encompassing the darkness

with a veil of subtle pastels

awakening your mind

from that place

where fantasy

reins supreme

and for a brief moment

anything seemed possible

within the secrets

of the night

your refuge

from light

from reality

from mornings sound

the song of life.

Isn't it the darkness

where plots unfold

decisions are made

and all your suspicions

hatch irrational presumptions

creating the fodder

that allows you

to subjugate

those in your thoughts

to your control

your judgments

and your darkness

that keeps them blind...

i like this work it is mind tingling and food for thought but i never like the dark always walk in the light and think on the positive

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
