    NIGHTMARE #3 REVISITED
    i wake up face down in my own vomit
    i know this can only mean one of two things
    either i have died and gone to heaven
    or i am in love
    i pinch myself but feel nothing
    i pinch myself again
    but still i feel nothing
    i scream
    oh god, i'm in love
    quickly i grab a very dull kitchen knife
    and plunge it deep into my chest
    i cut out my heart and feed it to my dog
    again i wake up face down in my own vomit
    only this time
    thank god
    i am dead

    A new perspective on the possibility of falling i love and the inevitable pain that will tag along. Much more masculine writing than anything I would do; however, it does explain a few things I've wondered about myself. Having been in AND out of love, I think the Tin Man may have hit the nail on the head when he said, "I know I have a heart, 'cuz now, it's breaking." Good read. I'm a fan of yours more and more - each time I read another poem. :)
