Poem Commentary

This poem was inspired by a collection of conversations that I had with a friend of mine. Many of the comments are embedded in the poem itself.

No Clue

The scent of your hair

Touch of your velvety skin

Wanting to taste your lips, yearning to feel them upon mine

My mind drifts into this daydream every time…

I think of you…

Your disposition is… well… well positioned

So much so that it would be amiss not to mention

I never felt like this before, never been in this place

But I get this feeling constantly whenever I see your face

Palms sweat, pulse races, temperature rises

Ooooh, you just don’t know what you do to me

Tainted thoughts when you come around, so I can’t look into your eyes

Can’t hear a word being uttered as my mind paces…

Mental picture forms…

An exchange of sex faces as we’ve entered the erotic zone

So sensual, nothing is ordinary

Since every sense: touch, taste, scent, sight, sound is oh soooooo extraordinary

Rising high to the occasion, aiming to please

Falling deep into ecstasy satisfying every need

Freed by my actions to the emotions that lie within

Caught up in the rapture of the moment, not wanting to say goodbye

Sounds expressed in visual words and words distinguished in colors

Passionate purples, arousing reds, mystic blues

Alluring, alluding, illuminating the entire room

Ahhhh… opulence

Indulging in caramel delight so silky and sweet

Just had to unwrap you and get a taste

Palatable, pleasing and tantalizing to the tongue and then…

Awake… the here and now…

Snapped back into the reality from my anonymous perceived reality

Cause if for one second you’d actually want to give, then I would gladly receive

And that moment I’d treasure, so it would never leave

Been in this situation before but never on this end

Captured, mesmerized by the beautiful splendor of a friend

I’m thinking that possibly maybe I’ve fallen for you

And you just have no clue

WOW!!! Thanks a lot!!! I love this poem as well. Just how it all came together...for me at least. The conversation behind the poem is even more thought provoking.

An organized confusion that is a glorious daydream. I remember when I felt [and still feel] like this.

Wow!!! Thanks. That was the effect that I was going for. Men in love? Yes indeed. :-)

Poetry is not a turning loose of emotion, but an escape from emotion.
