    Poem Commentary

    Inspired by Psalm 18:6~ “In my distress I called to the LORD; -I cried to my God for help. From his temple he heard my voice,my cry came before him, into his ears.

    No Time

    No time for low living,
    I’m greater than that

    No time for depression,
    I’m better than that!

    No time for carnal thinking,
    I’m more spiritual that that!

    No time for doubting promises,
    I have more faith than that!

    Why savor the stench of
    The trash can when I should
    Be shopping at the store?

    Why am I discontent
    With the things I have
    When my Father has given me
    More Faith, Love, Hope Joy,
    Peace and contentment than I
    Could ever wish for?

    Why do I always carry burdens
    That I am not designed to bear?
    Take your burdens to God,
    Then leave them there!

    Why worry, stress and trust
    In things? You must change
    Or You will fall.

    And if you     Need a helping hand,
    David said, “I cried to God,”
    And he answered my call!

    No time for tears,
    No time for fears,
    No time to give up and quit!
    Life has it’s ups and downs-
    But you can handle it
    As long as you have no time
    To give in to Yourself.

    This is a culmination of my experience last year Windsongs. Me and my husband were struggling financially and it caused me to question God and not really trust him. I went thru periods of depression anger worry mistrust...As I progressed thru it, I saw all the things God was changing inside of me. Now I am finally at a place where I can say-HELL OR HIGHWATER I CAN TRUST GOD NO MATTER WHAT HAPPENS TO ME OR NO MATTER WHAT PEOPLE SAY. I AM A LIVING WITNESS THAT GOD CAN BE TRUSTED!
