    Nor'Easter

    Nor’easter

Encouraging rust, the clammy raging wind banged the lock on the shutter

Birds took to their journey all in a flutter

Cacophony filled the air, as the angled rain burst along the hillside

No where to run and hide

Buckets and watering holes burgeoned, spilling over

Dry spaces were few, it seemed

Small animals wriggled into small places for cover

Careless now, the wind howled from its core

Nothing to anchor it, with more in store

A gale, indeed was coming ashore

    -M. Jacobs

There was a winter storm that blew my way a couple days ago- although, the season is diffrent, still this poem brings me this memory-as all these ducks were crying out and moving west overhead, and the cool wind kept tasting my cheeks as I watched them, I swore right then, I would savor that memory forever..this has recalled the promise I made to myself before that storm-you are amazing!-Maddi

Coming from an artist that I truly admire very much, it means quite a lot that you enjoyed Nor'Easter. It's funny how that poem came out. Thanks again.

Well done - the cloud is advancing and little shelter to be found. Get out that umbra-maker, if you can hold it down.

No doubt, get under a place that won't blow around. Thanks for your comments.

I've lived in New England all of my life. This poem captures the imagery of the nor'easter to a tee, Trust me - I've lived thru many. Concise and to the point, while saying so much! Another Great Write and Read!!

We've all seen this one many times... It's thrust is never welcomed, and, in it's wake - always a sigh of relief.. A very nice, short write..

    Thank You.
