    Poem Commentary

    Sometimes your path is not the one you would have choose but the one you must follow.

    Not Mine
    Why must I die to see the story through,
    All my thoughts only of you.
    Surely, there must be a little story left for me too! 

    To find the truth I surely seek.
    Remember me, the small, the meek,
    Except to fight for you and all your glory
    But that is to be another story.

    While they may denounce
    What you chose to renounce,
    I can only be what is left for you will see,
    That which is all that is left of me.

    The picture is the targets for a turkey shoot. Should be a perfect place for you to stand, Whoever told you and yours you could rad poetry lied, bad. You should pat yourselves on the back, with a two by four.

    Quite often one finds themselves questioning their place in this world and the path they are meant to take; whether belief lies in predestined or other. Often it one’s self destructive and often narcissistic view of the world, we forget to appreciate the life God has given us and lose the chance to live it to its fullest. How sad that those who would, perhaps, gladly stay here on earth longer are often the ones who die. A well written poem and enjoyable read.
