    Nothingness
    30,0000 died today
    Another half a million wait
    Death's march
    Turn the holes into graves
    Heaven's bitter, biting slave
    Get down on your knees and pray
    Your life is ending

    Falling, folding,
    Into nothingness,
    Skirting the abyss, when,
    Our thoughts and our dreams,
    Succumb to emptiness,
    Into loneliness, left with,
    Time - and it's slipping away
    Yes, it's slipping away
    Yeah, it's slipping away from me
    Fargone, so long
    Only left for dead

    How many people sleep today?
    How many die before they wake?
    Go on
    Pretending everything's ok
    Your thankless hope of yesterday
    Sinks to agony and pain
    And then it's all over

    Rocking, and rolling,
    Into nothingness,
    Plunging the abyss, when,
    Our hopes and our dreams
    Leave us penniless
    Diseased and nihilist
    Cursing life - and it's slipping away
    Yes, it's slipping away
    Yeah, it's slipping away - you'll see
    All gone, so long
    Now it's time to fall...

    Watch the hills dissipate
    Watch the lumps gestate
    Life ends,
    Not in heaven but in crates
    Empty voids with different names
    You could have made it one more day
    And it would have meant nothing

    Diving, surging
    Into nothingness
    No matter your intent
    With your thoughts, and your dreams
    Stuck inside your head
    Your one and only friend
    It's life
    And we take it away
    Yes, we sell it away
    Yeah, we throw it away each day
    Life's death, your end
    Was it fun at all?

    Wow. There is so much emotion and feeling here. It felt real. I can't describe the realistic motion of this poem. A really great write. I enjoyed it a lot. Thank you for sharing.

    I like the undertone of the uncontrollable plummet towards death .... Fate offers no empathy to those waiting to die .. i like your style and your realism. .. good write
