    Notoriety

    How I long for
    freedom for the pain:
    soul embittered
    by the siege,
    the furry consumes...
    Yet it is not without consequence
    you fooled me once-
    you fooled me twice;
    here however
    the charm denies
    a third time.
    Take with you this knowledge-
    live with it each day;
    while karma will return
    to you all your lies,
    it cannot compare-
    to the karma I will bring;
    destruction will put
    your life asunder,
    rage will destroy all your dreams.
    And when the fire consumes you-
    please think of one last thing:
    this path you chose to take-
    the scars you now wield,
    present a shade
    of notoriety
    that you can never outlive.

    The word smithing you employ is excellent and clear and without ambiguity. Your command of the language is beautifully woven throught this work.

    Wow... I have always thoguht what is going to be is going to be... The pain you bring out pulls at me so does the rage... I hope it isn't all consuming for you because it some accross strong... which makes it a good piece poetry is supposed to be emotional.... In it's dark way it's beautifull

    but then karma wil;l take its turn on you so in essense cant hold it against you cos you will get what you deserve. adults let go, they dont act like bullying children thats rather shameful

    Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

    Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
