    Now I'm Gone

    Here today,
    yet tomorrow,
    I am the whisper,
    in your ear.
    That ghostly figure
    that seems so near.
    I am here.

    You see me before you.
    you pass me the bottle
    and say, "here's to you."
As we tip our heads back.
    I am there.

    Time slowly passing
    as we drift
    through the night.
    Then you look at me
as the wind begins to blow.
    Looking East
    as the night
    turns to dawn.
    That's when you see...

    Now I'm gone!
