    • I can say a million words, and you still would never understand

    Numbness

I honestly don’t know what I feel anymore,

    I can’t tell whether I’m still angry.

I can’t tell whether my heart still hurts or not,

I think I’ve finally reached that point,

Reached that point that I shouldn’t have even came near,

    Thrown against a wall,

    Beaten down to the ground,

    And now I’m numb,

Although I see things with a new perspective,

I no longer have the ability to care.

I no longer have the ability push myself further,

I have for the “that’s just the way it is” lifestyle,

And I feel there is no turning back.

    And although I love you,

I have to let you go,

I have to let you be yourself,

    Without me,

    I’ll paint on my smile

    Each day,

    And go through the motions

But what I feared most has finally came,

Nothing will ever be the same

very potent. i can attach this poem to more than one situation in my own past. well done.

Poetry is not the expression of personality but an escape from personality.
