O Savior Devine

O Savior Devine

His life was one of pain

He carried our sorrow
and deep shame

none of this belonged to Him

yet for us...He stooped to die

to let carnal hands crucify

His sinless life upon the cross

if we reject Him
what a great loss

to live eternally forever with
Him in a perfect world with no more sin.

Beautifully written. Nice flow. No metaphors here.

Poetry is not a turning loose of emotion, but an escape from emotion.

T. S. Eliot (1888-1965) American-English poet and playwright.
