OF GOD WE KNOW

OF GOD WE KNOW

Myriad  twinkling stars;

Unfathomable dazzling galaxies;

Stretched like curtains,

reaching the limitless ends of the untold universe,

the wonders we pleasure in.

The giants tell of a “big bang”.

I tell of what is big:

The awesome hand that spins the planets

round around a gargantuan sun.

The incredible trio,

that call what are not as if they are;

Out of nothing, they form so much.

The kings of the earth meet at dawns.

Rationalize, they take a stab

of how our being came to be.

“Abiogenesis”, they conclude to call.

I tell of what happened in genesis:

Of how Love formed Man in His image

From clay, He fearfully made him………

The hearten marvels at Terra.

Surrounded by waters

which never spill.

I tell of Him that set the bay.

Of Him that set all boundaries.

He charged the sun to rule the day.

It ceases not to rise in the east

nor to set in the west

Tell me no more of atheism.

I have touched the helm of His garment.

Of Him that parted the Red Sea.

In a manger, we carried Him.

Walking on sea,

While I began to sink,

He stretched His hand and held me.

I doubted His risen,

He showed the hands that were nailed

I have His Spirit in me.

Of His witness He bears.

That all glory and honor,

Power and might,

belong to God we know.
