    Of This Dream

    Here my pleas
    -my soul bleeds,
    Tears have fallen
    into this endless sea.
    Words unspoken
    cannot free
    nor heal the blind
    allowing them to see:
    this world is but an
    amusing dream.
    Humor everlasting
    has donned the garb,
    reality spent for another day.
    Hear the laughter-
    song and dance,
    lost within the shuffling
    games of chance;
    Fear puts asunder
    a second chance.
    Greedily gather
    all that you see,
    enfold the screams
    of your enemies.
    Bind unto you
    the wisp of expression.
    Do all you can
    to suppress your depression.
    Ignore the insults
    -the blows and the jeers
    that threatens the sanity-
    Release of your fears.
    the insecurities
    you have manage to hide
    beneath the surface
    That belligerently tries
    to hold all before you
    a distance away
    so your heart can repeat
    each and every day
    that though age may have
    the final say-
    you will not bow,
    but step forth
    into tomorrow
    unafraid.

i enjoyed this poem tremendously. it has depth and insight to it. good job.

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

    Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
