Oh Please

Oh Please

Oh, turn my eyes from these worthless things and give me life through your loving word.

I've traveled this road many times before, traveling along in such a corrupt world.

Oh, give me the strength to move mountains that stand in my way,

or give me the courage to climb them.

The rocks that I stumble on, they toss me about,

Oh, please give me one to stand upon.

The valleys I'm in the pathways aren't clear,

Oh, please lighten the path so I'll find the right one.

This ship that I'm sailing its sail is withered and torn.

Oh, please be the sail that gets me where I'm going.

Thank you Phission :) I am glad you enjoyed it and I look forward to reviews on the others. Enjoy

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
