    • Just completed my new collection of poems, "Time Machine", a collections of Rock Ballads to set your own music to.

    Oh Whiskey

    Oh Whiskey
    Oh smokey Canadian Whiskey
Your taste just drives me home
    To the woman I love
To lay down in the petals of Zion
(you know Zion, you know Zion)
    It's the feast of Esther
And I'm drinking and thinking about
    That woman performing in that
    Persian court of the King
Dennis Kline (from the collection "Time Machine" 2013)

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

    Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
