    On Dreaming

She said you got your head in the clouds,
But, I said, its always sunny up there,
Away from the noise and the crowds,
    In my own secret lair.

She said time for the real world,
I said you can keep it I'm fine,
I would rather just search for pearls,
Diving into darkness beneath sunshine .

    I guess I'm just dreamer,
In my hazy world everything shimmers,
    I guess I'm just a believer,
In the lost, the lonely and the sinners.

She said time you got your act together.
Never going to happen I said,
I don't notice take notice of the weather,
I don't need much just a book and bread.

She said your too old for all of this.
I said your never too old,
For the magic of the sky or a kiss,
Or an old story newly told.

    I guess I'm just a dreamer,
Me and the gypsies, the loners and shy,
    I guess I'm just a believer,
In maybes and perhaps and why.
