    One October Day

T'was early October the day we first met.
A day I will never forget

We drove to a  place he called "his own"
when he wanted to meditate and be alone

This day, so different from the start,
Made such an impression on my heart

Camera in hand, he led the way to the top
Click after click, he had me awestruck

Then down to the other side we went
We sat on the ground ~~ he gave me his shirt

"Feel my heart pound" was his only request
As I lay my head on his waiting chest

I rested there for quite a while
And began to enjoy his quiet style

So different to me and a welcome change...
I wanted to tell him but was afraid

Talk of the past paved our way back
Stories that burned in my heart
I found myself yearning more and more
To get into this gentle man's heart

Soft and flowing just as attractions to the opposite sex should be. Might you be posting something new in the near future?.....................................Hampton

Sweet.. I wonder what became of him? Nothing is better than young love - at least, the flush of love...

THANK YOU....for commenting!! I appreciate you.

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.
