    optimistic girl

    unknowing of the future, knowing of the past
    hoping this "thing" we have will last
    as we listen to the words of poets like
    Poe and Plath, you wonder if what i want would last.
    lasting a life time or only day, knowing you will never fade away.
    I want to see where this "thing" will go, so lets take a chance,
    and see what we could be, it might not work, but you never
    know until you try, so lets see what we could actually be.
