    ~ Original Poetry ~

looking in the mirror, confused at what I see
A woman so familliar staring back at me.
I step a little closer just to check and see
is she really there ? or is it only me?
Through the eyes of someone else it's possible to see
what it takes to see myself looking back at me
I grasp the thought and hold it tight
in hope that I can flee from the image in the mirror right in front of me
Now do I have the courage to tell me what I see
Assuming that the image in the mirror's really me
For this is what I saw in the mirror through your eyes
A woman hardened by this life of broken dreams and lies
She stands before her image with an elegance of grace
Knowing that the day will come that she will leave this place
No stranger to this life of sorrow paved with strife and loss.
Holding back tyhe salted tears of pain that's been her cost
looking in the mirror as her youthfull image fades
she takes it all in stride knowing the price that wisdom pays.
Fear not dear child can't you see , for  your  words are legacy

u do that,ur soul will be thankful,,

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
