    Our World

Things have gone and things have changed
But there are some things that stayed the same
The sound of waves crash through my head
As I lay against my bed
The smell of forest fills my nose
As I sit and watch the trees grow
The sight of waterfalls excites my eyes
For its as though the water shines
The taste of fruit straight from the tree
Makes my heart jump up with glee
The feeling of sand running through my fingers
Man that feeling sure does linger
Even though the Earth seems nasty
And boy it even looks real trashy
What im trying to get out and say
Is there are som things that are the same

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

    Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
