    Overwhelmed

    Its killing me inside,
That my feelings I cant hide,
When I see you I rupture with happiness,
I explode each time we kiss
I try to dim my smile,
But it seems I'm turning a broken dial.
I try to shield my heart from shining to bright
But  my mind says you cant shield a luminous sight
When you hold me in your arms everything in me tells me not to shake
For fear from away from you I might break.
My body tells my hands not to shake when you hold them this way
For fear that you might slip away.
My brain tells me not to worry so much when your away
For fear that away from me you might stay.
I tell myself not to fear,
My heart tells me not only to hear,
But to listen to your heart crying out to me and showing me how not to fear.
You taught my heart not to be afraid of loosing the reason why it sings,
But to be grateful for every minute I survive in this love thing.
Which is why my soul says I love you more than material things I see
But to love you because you are what I need.
Every fiber of my being tells me:

    It lifts me inside,
My feelings I wouldn't dare hide,
And it's more than cards, hugs, and maybe a kiss,
But you are the reason I'm overwhelmed with Happiness

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
