    Pain and Sorrow

    I sit and think that
    People shouldn’t be treated
    Not like this at least
I want to go and save them from this
Living life back in the slavery lane
To see the bodies hanging from a string
Or bodies laying in a fire
    As their ashes appear
I picture families walk by and cry
As they see what their lives may be
Pain and sorrow is all I feel while night
    Appears and fades away

I feel. I do believe that is the best complement one can receive of ones poetry.

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

    Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
