Poem Commentary

This is my water poem. It has taken a while to get on the site because I keep forgetting to put it up when I do get access to a computer. This poem just goes to show that my time in the Navy has affected me a little more than perhaps I would like to admit. Being accused of fraud when I have legal proof that I have not defrauded anyone is still wearing on my mind.

Pain of My Conviction

It drizzles
Pitters and patters
Around my broken soul

It whispers
Howls and screams
Accusations in my ears

But it's lies
Riddles and half-truths
Are reflected in my eyes

Just as the pain
Of my conviction
Is reflected in the rain

Be at rest friend, find peace within yourself, that is the only place we can find it. A beautiful write, and much said from the heart in a few words.

I can feel the deep painful emotion reflecting from this piece. It hurts to read it because i can relate. Sometimes we just can't find the right words to describe how bad we feel deep down. You my friend, did it flawlessly!!

You're telling of a bad situation with this poem shows vividly......I hope whatever you went through (or are still) hasn't hampered your desire to write from your heart........................................gogant

If I feel physically as if the top of my head were taken off, I know that is poetry.
