Paradox

Paradox

If you take my hand

The world can never hurt you again

You can only hurt yourself

I’ll protect you from society

But I can’t protect you from yourself

You’re a creation of yourself

I’m a result of my experiences

Yet here we are

Spinning around each other

A prophet out of my dreams

My companion for life

You better be sure this is what you want

Before you steal my Heart

We can hurt each other

With one step out the door

If love rains over us

You’ll never let go

Heaven knows I’m your protector

I can Love you

When you open the door

Spinning round each other

My thoughts still drift back to you

And you keep returning by nights end

We can Love each other

I was sure of you from the start

I’m here to stay

Here to fore fill the void

Your still here

It must be

Love

cool, what song and by who?

Poetry is either something that lives like fire inside you or else it is nothing, an empty formalized bore around which pedants can endlessly drone their notes and explanations.
