    Paranoia

    It runs thru my veins
Each and every day it seems
When will I get over this
And get to where hope gleams
    Yet here I am
    Where hope is forgotten
    And paranoia runs rampant
    As if begotten
Just once can you hear my words
    That I am always afraid
    And under the impression
Of things that are never said
    For my fears lie everywhere
    Not just under the bed
Someone save me from my downward spiral
And stop these things in my head
    Never to fear again
    Or speak of things unsaid.

Poetry is not the expression of personality but an escape from personality.
