Part Three: The Red Road

Poem Commentary

Part 3 of 3 ... my apologies to those who already read this posted as one piece (in 3 parts) ... which was a little overwhelming all together onscreen ... and my thanks and deep appreciation for your willingness to stick with it in that form and comment so thoughtfully ... thank you! (Sept 2009)
(Oct7, 2009) Edited significantly ... this was a raw piece when first posted ... wasn't happy with several lines that just didn't come off right, and ended up telling a slightly different story in a slightly different tone ... but with the same intention of clarity and sincerity and peace and light to you, friend, for reading ... -dh

Pensive and at ease, flat rimed black hatted figure, Stands, facing the sunset. Wide rolling horizon dotted with green, half the world a sky Beckons.

i like how you put a face on that character, Grito! lovely painting! lol reminds me of Stephen King's gunslinger ... the man in black walked across the desert, and the gunslinger followed ...

aho. thank you, jean ... i celebrate your contributions as well, and am so glad this connected with you!

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
