    Passing

     The sweetest pain I never knew

    I was robbed of the chance to say goodbye to you

    then condemned to cry for endless days

    thinking of all I would have liked to say

    stripped of the chance to see your face

    alone in a dark and dismal place

    how I wished for just one chance to talk

    to race against the ticking of that

    invisable clock

    I would have told you how much you were loved

    and would be missed

    I would have asked you not to go like this

    to give life a chance for one more day

    not to end your life that way

    How I longed to pull you from your dark abyss

    with heart felt words

    and friendships bliss

    for though you left us long ago

    your memory within me glows

    I hope you know how much you mean

    I hope to meet you in my dreams.
